What: Our mission is to bring Pinot Noir producers from the most exceptional and unique regions in the world together with Pinot Noir enthusiasts for a weekend of celebration and education on the shores of California’s beautiful Central Coast.
The annual event includes two days of in-depth Tasting seminars and excursions, Grand Tastings by the Sea (each with a unique roster of wineries), a featured Burgundy tasting and gourmet, locally-influenced lunches and dinners. These extraordinary food and wine extravaganzas will be hosted by participating wineries and feature an outstanding panel of sommeliers from across the U.S.
The 12th Annual World of Pinot Noir features events that have become WOPN favorites, such as the two Grand Tastings By The Sea on Friday and Saturday afternoons, a traditional seminar and pairing on Friday and our always-popular Burgundy Seminar on Saturday. But 2012 also sees new events - Friday night you can choose between a vintage Burgundian Dinner or a Seaside Fête on Avila Beach, Saturday daytime choices include Pinot Adventure Camp - kayaking, hiking or golf with winemakers, followed by lunch with Pinot Noir and Saturday evening is highlighted by dinner at five select Central Coast restaurants, with winemakers sharing their wines and stories.

What: The City of Pismo Beach Recreation Division proudly presents the 4th Annual Pacific Breeze Concerts at Dinosaur Caves Park. This three show spring series will feature exceptional regional musical groups as well as special family activities and as always it’s FREE! Make sure to bring your lawn chairs for seating in the Rotary Amphitheatre or blankets for use on the parks’ expansive lawn overlooking the stage and Pacific Ocean! What: As one of California’s largest festivals and premiere festival on the Central Coast this family-style event brings together thousands of visitors and residents to enjoy activities and entertainment, the Strawberry Stampede, hundreds of art, craft and display booths, ethnic foods, and of course, scrumptious strawberry treats of all kinds in shortcakes, funnel cakes, milkshakes, ice cream and by the box!
The wonderful May weather and ambiance of the historic downtown village also add to the festivals merriment.

What: Four days filled with the best wines of San Luis Obispo. The weekend kicks off with Barrels in the Plaza, in conjunction with the local farmer’s market. This evening event features a unique culinary experience, “grown here, made here” celebrating all that is grown and made in SLO. Visiting Pismo Beach for the St. Anthony’s Celebration?
What: The St. Anthony’s Celebration Committee sponsors this annual event to celebrate the cultural contribution of the area’s Portuguese descendants. The parade begins on Sunday at 9:30am with sopas being served at the St. Anthony’s grounds.
Festivities will begin at noon Saturday with a barbecue luncheon for all donors, followed by an auction of crafts, fruits, vegetables, garden supplies, appliances, tools, gift certificates and Portuguese sweetbread. Dancing to the music of Loucura will begin at 8 p.m. in the Veterans Memorial Building right after the presentation of the outgoing and incoming queens.
The traditional grand march with the entourage of queens and attendants plus the new slate of officers at 8 p.m. in the Veterans Memorial Building will be followed by dancing.
